I did some sizable rock moving and one of the rocks was the diamond goby's house. Well all my fish are accounted for except for the goby. I tried digging around the sand where his burrow was but couldnt feel any type of body. Been 2 days no, still MIA even when i feed. Anyone know if they could wedge themselves into a hole and get stuck?

It seems possible. Or, did he dig under the sand and you accidentally put a rock on top of him?

Thought that so I took out all the rock and sifted through the sand. No dead goby bodies. I know my midas blenny shot into one of the holes of the rock I was working with. Stayed in that cave the whole time. But now is swimming around while my diamond goby is mia.

Checked it. Nothing. Dang! One of my first fish and it was great at cleaning the sand.

I just bought one and its so much fun to watch. I hope you find yours.

I have never had a diamond goby, but I have had a watchman. Whenever I changed tanks or the aquascape there were times where I thought he was dead. Mine wouldn't come out to eat either. He always turned up though. The last time it took him a week to show his face. Good luck!

I had a hogfish "wrasse" that hid for almost two weeks. Then one morning I saw him before the lights came on. He has been hanging out ever since.

My diamond goby took the leap of faith and went carpet surfing the other day. Sad day :(

Day 3 nothing...sheez. Now my cleaner wrasse diappeared. Sheez! when it rains it pours. The cleaner wrasse was eating frozen too!! Bla!

Not to point out the obvious but did you turn off the sump, skimmer and look in the overflow, plumbing and the carpet? I have seen fish go thru the overflow, into the sump and then go carpet surfing.

Hootie Hoo! I turned off everything and start moving a stick through everything and at the way bottom in the corner of the overflow found the goby!!

Now have to find the cleaner wrasse
