Just curious if anyone has a Fluval Spec V setup and what lights they're using. I'm not looking anything over the top as I am planning to have mostly LPS corals. Open to any suggestions but I was thinking LEDs are probably the way to go because I don't know if there are many T5 small enough. Thanks for the suggestions

Tank being only 6" wide, Seems like nano box would be alot of light spillage to get it to cover the 17" wide.

Likely need some type of light strip rather than cluster style. Certainly going to be a challenge to find something that will fit the bill especially if you want controlability.

From your other post sounds like this may be your first attempt at reef. This tank is not really a good fit. It's going to present some real challenges even for well seasoned reefer. Tank demensions are odd and total water volume will make it a challenge. I'd strongly recommend looking more at a cube like a biocube or nanocube. 14g cube size is proably about the smallest I'd go for a first tank. 29g cube being even better if you have the space.

looks like people run this peninsula style or "normal" tank up against the wall and filter on the side. which way were you thinking?

i picked up a nano light from SWE for my frag section of my sump. white and blue leds. ill post a pic in a minute.

Otherwise a par38 bulb might work well too.
